Once Upon A Style

Niamh McGauley has opened a new store on Main Street in Oughterard called 'Once Upon a Style.' 

It's a boutique selling new and pre-loved fashion pieces, designers labels, local handmade jewellery and headpieces, accessories, scarves and handbags. 

Niamh took part in LEO Galway's popular Start Your Own Business course - and she says the four week programme gave her the push she needed to get her business up and running.

'Ita [the course facilitator] is the best part of the course. Her delivery, expertise, personal and professional approach was exceptional (as a trainer myself, I'm always drawn to warm personalities and those who combine their own experience with the "boring bits") The course really equipped me for the business start up, from developing a business plan, looking at finances, marketing, social media, growing your business and making it stand out.'

'The course was so worthwhile, not just because of the great handouts, excellent trainer but the other people attending the course also added to the learning. Each one had different backgrounds, skills and abilities to share and contribute to the class.'

'I also found the 1:1 session that I planned with Ita very helpful, if anything to tease out what I was planning and also to link up about other possible courses that LEO are delivering that will help throughout my business. I hope to do some more courses in the area of social media and finances. Delighted to have set up my new business. There's never a right time for anything, but, anything is possible!'

Niamh says she's looking forward to welcoming everyone to 'Once Upon a Style...' boutique, where everyone's fashion story begins. The shop is located on Main st. Oughterard (beside Conor McNamaras shop)
